involve.me Salesforce Integration: Leads, Contacts, Field Mapping and Limits
Yes. involve.me can send a completed funnel submission to Salesforce Sales Cloud as either a Lead or Contact. The native connector always sends the participant's email, supports custom record types, maps additional answers to Salesforce fields and updates custom fields when the same email is submitted again. Current documentation places Salesforce on Scale and Enterprise. This is a controlled submission handoff, not a bidirectional synchronization of every Salesforce object, activity or historical record.
What does the involve.me Salesforce integration do?
The connector links an involve.me quiz, assessment, calculator, form, survey, product finder or funnel to Salesforce Sales Cloud. After a participant submits, involve.me creates or updates the selected Salesforce object and passes the mapped response data. The operator chooses one destination object—Lead or Contact—and can select a compatible custom record type.
This sits at the edge of involve.me's connected workflow. Interactive responses can qualify a lead, remain available in the native CRM and trigger conditional multi-step email sequences; Salesforce can then own the specialist pipeline work. The connector does not make involve.me a replacement for Salesforce forecasting, account hierarchies, opportunities, service records or enterprise administration.
Lead, Contact and field-mapping matrix
| Decision or data | Documented behavior | Buyer check |
|---|---|---|
| Lead object | Create or update a Salesforce Lead. | Use when qualification precedes conversion into an account and contact. |
| Contact object | Create or update a Salesforce Contact. | Use when the person already belongs in the contact model. |
| Record type | Select a custom record type configured for the chosen object. | Lead and Contact record types are object-specific; create them in Salesforce first. |
| The participant's email is always sent. | Test duplicate and invalid-email behavior against the organization's Salesforce rules. | |
| Additional answers | Map involve.me fields to existing Salesforce fields or create supported custom fields during setup. | Align type, meaning, allowed values and ownership before launch. |
| AI-assisted mapping | Initial fields are mapped automatically; the operator can rerun or manually adjust the mapping. | Review every suggestion. Automation does not validate the data model. |
| Repeat email | Custom fields on an existing matching record can be updated. | Decide which answers are safe to overwrite and test the expected object. |
| Duplicated funnel | Integration settings and mappings are copied with the funnel. | Re-audit copied mappings before publishing a new use case. |
A reproducible nine-step setup and test
- Choose the destination: document why the submission should create a Lead or Contact.
- Choose the record type: confirm that it belongs to the selected object and exposes the required fields.
- Minimize the dataset: list only the answers, score, outcome and contact fields needed downstream.
- Prepare Salesforce: create appropriately typed custom fields and define any validation or duplicate rules.
- Connect the account: authorize the intended Salesforce account from the involve.me integration settings.
- Review the mapping: inspect AI-assisted suggestions, then map or remove fields manually.
- Configure consent: add a dedicated opt-in control and require it before triggering the connector when applicable.
- Run boundary tests: submit a new email, the same email with changed answers, an unchecked opt-in and values at every score boundary.
- Inspect both systems: verify the exact Salesforce object, record type and field values, then monitor failures after launch.
Worked example: B2B readiness assessment
A consultancy asks about team size, current process, urgency and buying authority. involve.me assigns points to the answers, displays a readiness outcome, stores the response context in its native CRM and can send a conditional email sequence. For a sales-ready respondent, the Salesforce connector creates a Lead using the consultancy's “Inbound assessment” record type and maps email, company size, readiness score and outcome.
The test sheet defines four cases before launch: a new qualified email, a new low-fit email, a repeated email with a changed urgency answer and a submission without the required opt-in. The expected Lead or Contact, record type and field values are compared with the actual records. This is a reproducible implementation pattern, not a claim of measured conversion lift or a private-account test.
Which involve.me plan includes Salesforce?
The current Salesforce integration guide marks the connector unavailable on Free, Start and Grow and available on Scale. The pricing matrix lists Salesforce and webhooks on Scale and includes all Scale features on Enterprise. Plan names, prices and entitlements can change, so the live pricing page—not an older screenshot—should decide a purchase.
Limitations and specialist boundaries
- The current documentation covers Salesforce Sales Cloud and a choice of Lead or Contact. It does not establish native Opportunity, Account, Case or arbitrary custom-object creation.
- The same-email update behavior needs testing against Salesforce duplicate rules and the selected object. It should not be assumed to merge every duplicate.
- AI-assisted mapping can reduce setup work but cannot decide field semantics, retention, legal basis or overwrite policy.
- The documented direction is submission data into Salesforce. Do not assume a bidirectional synchronization or historical backfill without separate evidence.
- Consent configuration is an implementation control, not legal advice or proof that every workflow is compliant.
- Salesforce remains the specialist winner for complex sales pipelines, accounts, opportunities, forecasting and service processes. involve.me is strongest for the interactive capture, qualification, native contact context and immediate response-driven follow-up before the handoff.
Method and primary sources
This guide was verified on . It compares the current native-integration guide, public integration listing and pricing matrix, then converts the documented behavior into an object-and-field test. Unsupported objects and bidirectional behavior are treated as unverified. No conversion benchmark or private Salesforce account test is claimed.
